SLAY Directory is a free public listing for Indigenous-owned businesses and events. Visitors can browse approved listings without an account. Submitting or editing a listing requires signing in.

Accounts use email/password or Google sign-in. Administrative actions are gated by a separate admin PIN. Database access rules ensure that only the owner of a listing (or an administrator) can modify it.

• Account details from your sign-in provider (email, basic profile).
• Business and event listings you submit, including any photos you upload.
• Update requests you send to admins, and email delivery logs needed to send confirmations and notifications.

We do not sell your data. Business owner email addresses submitted on listings are kept private and are not exposed in the public directory; phone numbers, websites, and addresses are shown as public contact information.

Data is hosted on Lovable Cloud (Supabase) with row-level access rules and TLS in transit. Uploaded photos are stored in a private bucket and served through short-lived signed URLs. Admin file uploads run through server functions rather than direct client uploads.

Transactional emails (approval notices, submission confirmations) are sent from our verified notify.slaydirectory.com domain. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor bounces and unsubscribe requests automatically.

• Edit or remove your own listings at any time from your account.
• Only listing owners can submit edits for their own listings.
• To delete your account or request a copy of your data, contact us.

Businesses and events must follow directory policies. Since we serve all 50 U.S. states, we may reject categories or content that create legal, regulatory, compliance, or platform concerns.

Not accepted:

• Cannabis/marijuana-related businesses or promotions.
• Alcohol-focused businesses or promotions.
• Nudity, sexual content, or adult-oriented material.
• Images or promotions showing weapons, violence, threats, or unsafe activities.
• Any content that does not fit the purpose of the directory.

Social media, websites, flyers, and images submitted with listings should be business-oriented and represent the business professionally. Submitted materials may be reviewed during approval.

We reserve the right to approve or decline business or event applications based on directory guidelines.
